This responsibility applies to the data that we manage for our clients, about our clients, and on the media delivered to us with the confidence of our clients. Cali Resources is able to provide data wiping service in accordance with the DoD 5220.22 M data destruction method. Moreover, Cali Resources is able to identify and address physical memory errors and report defects back to the manufacturer for MTBF analysis.
In some cases, data wiping is not sufficient to meet the requirements of specific clients, or customers of our clients. Some customers require the absolute physical destruction of recordable media. For example, sensitive data maintained by the Navy, insurance companies, banks, and military installations demand absolute physical destruction of media and hard drives. These items are tracked by serial number and bar code to assure degaussing, followed by physical separation and crushing. The process is documented by CCTV with digital images retained for ‘before’ and ‘after’ services.
Cali Resources provides data sanitation and destruction services for hard drives, magnetic tapes, CD / CDRW, DVD, SmartMedia, SD Cards, and other recording media devices. Destruction of physical media is applied when data cleansing cannot be accurately confirmed, based on the form of media.
All devices are permanently marked by Cali Resources with individual unit identification. This identification is tracked by Cali Resources and can be readily identified by match to date of processing, source, and complete history.
In addition to the conscientious adherence to the security and privacy of data on all recorded media and data storage devices, Cali Resources applies the same level of dedication to protect the privacy of customer data in our own systems. Cali Resources is privileged to receive confidential data and conduct electronic commerce with many valued clients. This information is also protected by Cali Resources adherence to privacy protocols as designed and audited by Secure Privacy Solutions, a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Your Responsibility
Protect the security and privacy of your records and the confidential information from end-users, employees, financial records, passwords, or other data stored in your media. Deleting and erasing records is not sufficient to assure the confidentiality of your data. Our Responsibility
Cali Resources recognizes the responsibility to protect the privacy and security of all of our clients. All media, drives, tapes, and memory is properly erased, formatted, and cleansed to ensure sufficient data wiping. All hardware devices are either marked and recorded, or physically destroyed. All processes and hardware are tracked by individual serial or identification to validate proper handling. This is standard operating procedure, even when the end-user does not know to request it, because we care about the privacy and protection of our clients and your customers.
